FIVE DRAWER CHEST

This Five Drawer Chest affords more space than the four drawer version but, unlike the six drawer, still allows space above to hang a mirror. The top drawer has a fan carving and simulated to look like three drawers.

SIX DRAWER CHEST

Tall chests were very popular in rural New England for the amount of storage they afforded. Like the five drawer chest above, the top drawer is a single unit constructed to simulate three drawers.

TEN DRAWER CHEST

This Chippendale carved chest was found throughout New England. Our Ten Drawer Chest features an array of five small drawers, at the top, over five large drawers below. The hand carved "fan" and ogee feet make it particularly attractive.

MULE CHEST

These early double dressers were referred to as "mule" chests because of their capacity to hold large quantities of linens and other soft goods. Ample drawer space makes our mule chest ideal for today's bedrooms.

OXBOW CHEST

This chest features a complete side to side oxbow front, typical of those found in the Boston area during the 18th century. Important elements include a molded countertop and ogee base.

This English rococo design was adopted by American craftsmen and modified in various ways. Here, the essential elements include the serpentine front, canted corners and graduated drawers.

This four drawer chest features fluted quarter columns and ogee feet, skillfully profiled to avoid heaviness. This, along with the post and bail hardware, lend this chest a formal, yet relaxed, feel.

This chest has many of the characteristics of those made by Goddards and Townsends of Newport, Rhode Island. Its block front form with detailed carved shells and scrolled feet is considered by many to be the ultimate in American furniture.
